Sec. ACapabilities

// What we build

Capabilities

Engineering and manufacturing coordinated under one roof. Submit a drawing, a specification, or a physical sample and receive a clear assessment of scope, cost, and lead time.

CAP-01

Product Development

Concept generation, feasibility studies, and design-for-manufacture review that identifies cost drivers early in the development cycle.

  • Concept
  • DFM
  • Feasibility
CAP-02

CAD & Engineering Drawings

Production-ready SolidWorks models, assemblies, and fully dimensioned drawings with GD&T that a machine shop can quote from directly.

  • SolidWorks
  • GD&T
  • BOM
CAP-03

Prototyping

Functional prototypes built fast so you can hold the part, test the fit, and change the design before committing to tooling.

  • Machining
  • Fabrication
  • Fit-Up
CAP-04

Manufacturing & Tooling

Production parts, fixtures, dies, and custom tooling — from one-off assemblies to repeatable short-run manufacturing.

  • Dies
  • Fixtures
  • Short Run
CAP-05

Test & Instrumentation

Custom data acquisition systems for temperature, pressure, flow, and RPM, so design decisions are supported by measured performance data.

  • Sensors
  • Logging
  • Analysis
CAP-06

Reverse Engineering

Obsolete or undocumented parts measured, modeled, and re-drawn so they can be reproduced instead of replaced at OEM prices.

  • Metrology
  • Modeling
  • Reproduction

// How a job runs

Order of
Operations

Every project advances through the same five stages, with a defined review checkpoint and deliverable at the close of each.

  1. 01

    Scope & Requirements

Functional requirements, constraints, budget, and delivery date are documented in writing prior to the start of design work.

  2. 02

    Design & Analysis

3D modeling, material selection, and the calculations behind them — thermal, structural, or flow, depending on the part.

  3. 03

    Drawing Release

Fully dimensioned drawings, tolerance specifications, and a bill of materials transferred to the client. All revisions are tracked and versioned.

  4. 04

    Build & Prototype

Fabrication and assembly of the first article, with fit and function checked against the released drawing.

  5. 05

    Validate & Deliver

Measured testing against the original requirements, then handoff with a test report and full documentation package.

// The company

Engineering
and Production
in One Scope

Latin American Industries is a development engineering, design, and manufacturing company based in San Diego, California.

Our practice is built on direct shop-floor experience. Designs are released by engineers who have machined, fabricated, and instrumented the parts they specify, which produces drawings that are manufacturable and tolerances that hold in production.

Engagements range from a single reverse-engineered component to complete product development through short-run manufacturing. Clients receive documented deliverables and a defined point of contact at every stage.
